Its Alone in the Dark
>>382959076
I hear terrible things for all the Alone in the Dark games. Broken cameras, mechanics, fighting, etc.
Which ones are good?I played the one for 360 and cried it was so shit and legit broken I returned it to gamestop the same day

I liked AITD: the new nightmare
What about Alan Wake? Only played one game and far as I know there is only one game.
Fuck me, every horror game people recommend i already heard of it. This is the downside of being so ludo. Help me /v/, recommend me stuff.
>>382959252
There's really no good AITTD game. The old games were pretty revolutionary but they aged terribly and are INCREDIBLY short, like maybe 30 minutes long.
The new nightmare was pretty mediocre, and you already mentioned the one on 360.and you fucking that was broken? try the PS2/Wii version where they literally exclude parts of the plot and where you need to suffer from an actual glitch to beat the game, which ends abruptly btw

Sweet Home
ObsCure
Michigan: Report From Hell
Galerians
>>382957547
Clock Tower is my favourite survival horror game on the PS1. If you love old horror games and haven't played it yet, you seriously need to give it a try. I definitely recommend going in blind because you make a lot of decisions about the direction the game will go without knowing you're making decisions.

Sorry anon, i need more obscure than that.
>>382960638
>like maybe 30 minutes long
New Nightmare PS1 that short?
>>382960686
>ObsCure
>Michigan: Report From Hell
>Galerians
Those are good games. Well, at least Galerians and Obscure were. Michigan was ok personally.
Never heard of Sweet Home but ill look it up. Not the guy you are responding to btw

barely played it, can't really comment

>AW: american nightmare
Why have I never heard of this? DLC? Shit? Mobile?

Alan Wake isn't really survival horror. Not a bad game, though.
>>382960887
Okay, here it goes. I'm not pulling any punches.
Uninvited (1986)
Where Time Stood Still (1982)
Ecstatica (1994)
>>382960896
I said the old games, not new nightmare. Before new nightmare you had the original trilogy, old DOS games and yeah you could finish them in 30 minutes. They also had some terrible design choices, for example a puzzle required you to place 2 mirrors in 2 gargoyle statues to pass, but if you dropped the mirrors from the inventory, they would break, forcing you to restart the game because there was no other way to solve the puzzle.
>Sweet home
Its a famicom game credited with inventing the genre.
>>382957547
Fatal Frame II is the only game to actually scare me
>>382960896
>New Nightmare PS1 that short?
I played the pc version, which is a port of the dreamcast version, also similar the the PS2 one, don't remember precisely but it was the average length you expect, it's the dos ones that are pretty short
no idea about the ps1 and gbc
>>382961409
Now we talking senpai. I only hears of Uninvited. Keep throwing those recommends at me m8.
>>382960638
>The old games were pretty revolutionary but they aged terribly and are INCREDIBLY short, like maybe 30 minutes long.
Are you fucking kidding me? All 3 of those games took me hours to beat. Guide users are not fucking welcome.
>>382961294
it's both on gog and steam, I don't think it the length of a full game but it's not dlc, just smaller
the 1st one is more thriller than horror, this second one is more action than anything, really not horror imo
