I've only refunded one game and it was Tekken 7. I love 2D fightan but I hadn't even given 3D fightan a shot since Soul Calibur 2 and Virtua Fighter days, so I decided I'd give it a chance.

I didn't like it. While the combat wasn't awful, it just wasn't very fun to learn - the game had no combo trials, training mode was wonky as fuck, resources for a 2 year old game online were scarce, the netcode was laggy, the lobbies were worse than SF5 which is saying something.

For example, joined a lobby to play with some friends - none of us ever spectated a full match to completion because of unsyncing issues. Loading times were long for a full crew of PC players, character select being mandatory only adds to the wait before getting into a match, and the matches themselves were short, meaning we spent more time looking at a shitty lobby screen, loading times, and a syncing bar than we actually did playing the game.

I like the character designs and music, but it just wasn't worth $60.

Rogue Squadron, since it had some camera issues and also a very faint green tint, which also appeared in the demo of Hitman: Blood Money. It sucks about Rogue Squadron due to it being one of my favorite games growing up, but the HD version wasn't liking my rig as far as I could tell.

If it existed when I bought it, I would have refunded The Secret World, since I had some glitch making it impossible to register an account when I got it for like $15 in the past.

The sad thing is that fixing the remakes isn't even difficult.

1. Give full cover a 100 point cover bonus, and partial cover something like 50, maybe higher.
2. Remove classes entirely, tie class abilities to weapons / weapon-types / species instead.
3. Increase the turn limit by 50-100% to compensate for the greater amount of time turns take
4. Reduce the effectiveness of explosives vs cover so the game doesn't turn into team high-explosives win

This nullifies the alpha strike nature of the remakes by forcing maneuver and flanking shots, and you lower the investment value of a soldier that can only be recovered through a time commitment (e.g. grind these soldiers back up to that level / rank) rather than an equipment commitment (make/buy more items) like the originals.

Anyone with some decent understanding of scripting in the unreal engine should be able to knock this together in a single afternoon (half of it is literally just editing text files), and polished/playtested for bugs within a week.
