ehh, I tried playing it recently and I couldn't get into it.
I really dislike the art-style, everyone looks like they're weird puppets or some shit.
Also idk, the game just doesn't feel like a tes game.

Elder Scrolls Legends is not some Hearthstone ripoff and is actually better than the current state of HS yet people blindly shit on it (though I agree it was on stage for too long on E3 2017)

It was the only game in recent memory that really gave me that 'massively multiplayer' feel.

desu I've mostly been playing sp shit, so idk how it works in mp, but I really dislike the prophecy shit. Had multiple games where I got completely fucked by him topdecking a prophecy card after I hit him. And like I don't really get why you'd even put that mechanic in. It's literally just a huge rng mechanic.

I played it during the first year and a half and I loved it. I'm considering going back to it but I feel like I missed so much content that people are probably not doing any more that it puts me off. I also have very little time these days so MMOs are not a great option for me.

That aside, do you guys think they might give the same treatment to Fallout with all the success ESO has seen? FO is after all the more popular of the two, and already has had two cancelled MMOs.

The fucking Magicka Stamina system is complete shit. If it wasn't like that I would play it. Ruins most classes and versatility. Seriously, what were they thinking.

I'd go further than that, a lot of the character building is pretty bad.

Classes just don't work with Elder Scrolls and they never should have been there in the first place. That said, even though there are only 5 classes, they still managed to make one (nightblade) the worst at everything for almost the entire lifespan of the game.

Race differences are oddly more pronounced than in the singleplayer games, where they would have been less objectionable. As it is, if you don't play an altmer if you plan to be magicka focused, you're literally making the wrong choice.

Speaking of magicka, stam-based characters are shit at anything but tanking and have been shit for pretty much the entire time I've played the game. Magicka is just better. There might be exceptions in PVP, but what PvP I did seemed to show that magicka was still pretty damn good across the board.

Also, some important stam abilities (which are usable in PVE) are gated behind PVP. If you want one of the best stamina AoEs in the game or one of the only stamina based heals, you have to PVP for somewhere around 10-20 hours.

I think ESO is still considered shit beacuse it used to be shit but it really improved since then.
I would even say that it's better than Skyrim even if you would remove all online elements, the combat has still more depth to it. Though making better game than Skyrim isn't really a big achievement.
If they would add classic stats and spellcrafting (Which they said few times they consider adding in the future, especially spellcrafting) it would unironically be better TES than Oblivion.

Also, Cadwell was a great fucking character, shame he never appears after you finish the main quest.
Despite being the "LE WACKY CHARACTER XDD" he actually had some charm to him which made him really likable.

the game sucks actually. pvp is terrible and pve is unrewarding. on top of all this the balance is horrific. i uninstalled a month or two the sustain changes happened. the only joy i got from the game was playing a magdk
