All this awesome buildup for a mediocre ass ending that felt rushed. The final dungeon is a joke once you've played for that long and the boss fight doesn't properly challenge you like it should.

The silver Lynel was more of a challenge to me than Ganon and when you hype him up the entire game it just felt like a huge waste of time.

this game was clearly meant to be a showcase that demonstratd nintendo is willing to take zelda out of most of it's conventions that have been bogging it down in it's latest titles. one of the biggest indicators of this is simply having the gall to change Link's classic and ingrained look of the green tunic.

i'm let down in several areas of the game, combat is simple as shit and you'd think nintendo would have been able to make a servicable narrative for a zelda game by now. but now they've got a good system to roll with, i'm hoping that they can approach the model better with a new game.

Pretty much. Even if disappointing final boss fights are a series constant by now, the rest of the game is a mindless Minecraft tier slog with MMO questing. Exploration is the only thing going for it only there's no good rewards for doing so. Shrines and Korok seeds are the only thing that inhabit the dead overworld along with 5 overworld enemies, only 1-2 of which are actually dangerous with Mini-bosses with the one gimmick that makes it a pushover. The only interesting thing in the game, as many will repeatedly say, was the island that took away all your shit. The game is most interesting in the first few hours but after that it's just lazy bullshit that only ensnares shitters who've never played an open world game in their lives. It's like the Skyrim/FO3 effect all over again where people slowly wake up a realize what a shitty game they've been playing.
