She was a prodigy who somehow manifested a lost jedi art.
The problem was she was an Anakin analogue, a heretofore unseen prodigy that was aware of how big a cock they had to swing and wanted others to recognize it, and because Bioware followed (a poor) precedent, so came Bastila.

Yeah, that too. I tend to dislike that kind of plot device though. It feels silly when used without proper setup, like dunking someone in a tank of "evil". I think it can be really great for setting up that feeling of dread, however, like having a character slowly approach this place they know will injure/affect them as if it's an execution chamber. That puts the audience on the edge of their seat wondering if the hero will swoop in to save them, or if they really will get dunked in the vat of evil, acid, death sauce, or whatever.

I find using balanced builds in the first game works a lot better than min/maxing. Pic related was STR 10, DEX 14, CON 12, INT 14, WIS 14(15), CHA 14(18) with the numbers in parenthesis what he ended up with at level 20.

There's no need to stack 18's in stats, underlevel non-Jedi classes, etc.
