Is this worth a buy without the DLC? I loved DaS once I got good

You're basically paying for the boss fights, since the actual level design is ds2 tier bad. Gael and Midir are good, but not 30$ good. Pirate or get on sale.

like every das game, the dlc is the definitive part.

If you like the series youll enjoy the game, Its not a bad game. Souls fanboys just like to shit on it because it wasnt perfect. Bosses and Music was better than 2 though.

I don't understand how, but..maybe you like something about the souls games more than I do. in that case, you'll probably have a lot of fun. It's a mix of 1 and 2, leaning more toward 1.

First dlc can be beaten in 15 minutes if you know what you are doing
The bosses in dlc 2 take 15 minutes to take a 1/10th of their health bar away

Can you even buy it without DLC? I thought all they were selling now is The Fire Fades edition for $60.
