I never understood multiplayer games. I tried playing some from different genres (RTS, FPS and MMO at least) but all of them just seemed pretty boring and either were the same thing over and over or just a duller version of the single player experience (MMORPG). I guess you have to be the sort of guy who likes playing sports to enjoy them, or a really lonely guy in the case of MMOs. I don't judge though.

I did as well, online multiplayer might've been the greatest meme of the past 15 years, because it saw the height of it's genre and the death of it.

The whole gimmick of playing with people online and making friends was honestly lost its charm in 2013 or so for good. In 2005 though playing CS was fucking cool when everything started working and you didn't have shitty ass dial up to play a game with 600 ping like the Quake III days. Even though those days were comfy as fuck, I still consider Quake 1 and 2 better in my mind.

I was building a competitive overwatch team and it took most of all season 1 for me to get the perfect game. We were two games from diamond but I was 3. Win2 and the rest of my team goes up. Then we lose the next one and they quit.

The players friend irl came back who was a worse Rhine main than me. They kick me out and put him in. Then carry him to diamond. They then tank after they got him there and never went anywhere since.

Months of work assembling the team and coordinating only to be tossed aside. Fuck. People. Ever since then I don't play comp multiplayer games. Co-op sometimes but am now 90% solo gamer.
