I enjoy videogames and play videogames on my PS4, I also mostly play fighting games and the biggest playerbases are on the PS4.

Downloading Until Dawn right now and some autist on /v/ aint stopping me from enjoying it

The only legit reason to get a PS4 is for weebshit.
It doesn't really have anything else going for it though. The reason it sold is because the competition fucked up even harder.
As far as the Switch goes I think most people just bought a 2nd hand Wii U and pirated Zelda and MK8. The only people who bought one are hardcore fans and people who travel a lot.

Consoles are usually more convenient than PC. Plug in device, power on device, put in game, play. I'm sure someone's going to mention updates but unless the game is online only you don't have to be connected to the internet and update to play it. PC has more steps and even then the game may not work or at least work well on your set up. While on consoles you can expect the same performance on every console.
