you can overclock it, taking games like senran kagura from 12FPS to 30, you can run SNES natively, Homebrew apps run faster and wireless transfer speeds are much higher. There are also games that benefit from the higher clock speed by default like Hyrule Warriors, Xenoblade and Binding of Isaac are n3ds exclusive, but that might not matter to you.

It also has the c-nub, which can be replaced with the PSP nub, it's a lot better and acts like a right analog stick.

SNES games can also be run through an emulator on the 2DS like retroarch but it's a little glitchy.
