X: slow strategic gameplay, where you can take your time planning every move and a story that overly sad it makes you roll your eyes at times.
X-2: fast paced gameplay with a story that overly happy it makes you roll your eyes at times.

That's why the most important thing is, after you have finished X don't expect more of the same, or you won't be able to enjoy X-2

By slow I just meant the turn based system. You can go cook dinner in the middle of a boss fight and the game will still wait for you to take your turn. With the ATB system the enemies attack every x seconds.

This is true. In fact, it's so much better to replay the game because there are a lot of differences in the story and game depending on your choices, actions, and what you choose to explore.

The combat is great, especially the job system. You have freedom to play whatever part of the game you want, the mini games are pretty fun too. It is a silly game but it's fun and sweet and one of my favorites.
