I have 3 physical games for my PS4.
MGSV
FFXV
and Nier: Automata
Two of those three games are just straight up incomplete experiences.
I bought my PS4 for Destiny and was severely disappointed with that game.
I'm not really interested in anything coming to the PS4.

I have
Zelda
and Mario Kart
for my Switch, and I would like to get Splatoon and Mario Odyssey this year.
I am looking forward to Kirby and Metroid Prime as well.
In just a year, the amount of games I actually want to play and am excited for on the Switch will surpass my disappointing PS4 library, and the total number of games is double that of my PS4.

I'm curious what games comes out January to March third. Overall I think it's one of the best launch years for any console. Only thing that could have been better is third party support but I didn't expect it so soon. Although I did expect Capcom to release something for launch. It's really odd they didn't even release a port of one of their famous games, they would have made bank. Plus they also announced a Pokemon game and MP4 so most franchises are covered. It'll be interesting to see what third party games comes to the Switch. I'm hoping for Persona.

As for the lineup I think it is excellent. The writing is a joke but that's not surprising considering it's a Persona game. What makes this game absolutely awful to play is the horrible one-dimensional characters that don't give me a reason to become invested in the game whatsoever. Coupled with the fact that you can tell the game was clearly rushed as evident by the drop in quality after Madarame's palace and that god awful final boss fight and boat palace. It all culminates into one of the worst gaming experiences of 2017.

Hell, Animal Crossing for Gamecube wouldn't be considered an exclusive because it's simply an N64 port. Another one is you can't include Digimon Cyber Sleuth Hacker's Memory for PS4 because it's also Vita in Japan and the west is only getting it on PS4.

It's a ridiculous argument to add JP only games into the mix for disqualifying games unless the game itself is only available in Japan only. If I can't get the game in English then why are we disqualifying it because it's available in a language the vast majority can't speak? The only time MH was ever relevant on homeconsoles was the first one ever on PS2 before there were better portable versions.
Wii and WiiU both has a small playerbase for core 3rd party titles (desprite how well Wii sold overall) AND the most recent main Monster Hunter games came on 3DS. Wii got a game with very little content and shortly after 3DS got the much better and improved version. Same for WiiU, it got MH3U, but then nothing else, 3DS will got MH4U and MHX and MHXX.

This time, however, MH is releasing on a homeconsole whose players actually care about 3rd parties AND Monster Hunter World on PS4 is the one and only version (in japan), there won't be a superior portable version with more content coming out shortly after like what happened with both Wii and WiiU.

It's quite a different situation. So like I said, no one knows the impact it'll have.

A single generic AAA multiplat (like Destiny2 or Battlefront2 or CoD) in Q4 will sell more PS4's than a Pokemon expantion game will sell 3DS's. Much less if you combine all the generic AAA games coming out this Q4 on PS4 compared to the one pair of Pokemon Xpacs.

The world design in XCX and XC is leagues above Zelda. So imaginative. Monolithsoft are incredible at world-building. Deeper battle system. More customisation that actually has meaning to it. Xenoblade games actually have a fucking soundtrack. Zelda team can't write a half decent story for shit because most Nintendo teams can't, except Monolithsoft. The VA is atrocious.
