>decide to try out some Tekken 7
>always liked Nina
>decide ''you know what, this time I'm gonna take some time and actually learn some combos and what have you''
>spend 2 hours in practice mode
>''alright, I feel confident, I actually know some stuff now, besides, I should be matched with people of my skill, right?''
>get absolutely obliterated, lose every single match
>give up completely, decide to pick Lucky Chloe to see what she can do
>just mash buttons like a retard
>win 4 games in a row

Play ranked
>tfw people hate on a genuinely good fighting game and will give it a reputation of being a shit game because they suck so bad and are incapable of gitting gud
It's Skullgirls all over again.

The problem with the matchmaking is that it's based per character. You could be facing a 20 year veteran Tekken god with 100,000 hours played but if it's first time playing Miguel he'll fight you as a "Beginner".
No real way around it I guess.
Here's an Eliza code if anyone wants it.

Skullgirls was meme garbage by SJW devs. It deserved all the bashing it got.

Not entirely, once you get to a certain rank it bumps up all your other characters up.

It literally takes years to be truly good at Tekken and at lower levels gimmicks or moves that the opponent has never seen before will win you the match.
Just relax, pick your favourite character and practice.

This is why tekken 7 is a bad game to take seriously, you need to memorize every single characters movelist otherwise their unfamiliar strings will get you every time.
Its great for button mashing fun with friends or online against scrubs but not much else.

They started anti smurfing with default ranks in T7. The higher your best is, the higher your default rank is for other characters.

How about you practice your ass off a few months, learn the games mechanics, familiarize with a character or two, and then you'll be able to actually play against a real personYou'll still get wrecked anyways :)

Tell me a fighting game where you dont have to memorize all the moves
>>382722038
Tell me a fighting game where each character can have potentially hundreds of "moves".
