Except the original first game was indeed hard for its time and was targeted for children despite it, much less the following games.

But yeah, people who are into "gaming" nowadays just now consider this the Dark Souls of platformers even though it's not that hard to begin with, it's definitely not in the fucking Top 10 of hardest platformers to ever exist. People have grown too accustomed of having their games being played for them rather than by them.

I mean it was definitely not easy to do but I got 100% in a day of playing (first time I had beaten it). The relics seem a bit too punishing though.
