in tekken tag 2 there's a clock to show how much time you've spent playing. it maxes out at 999.99 hours. i maxed it out after a year or so and continued to play the game until tekken 7 came out. i took breaks for a couple months at a time here and there.

Game is still fun after that long. It's usually open-ended games without forced goals that I continue to come back to. Sunless Sea is a big one, you can take the game at your own pace, and set your own rules for each playthrough.

It hardly depends on the game. Most games have content(with mods etc.) for about 20-30 hours. Good games have content(with mods etc.) for about 100-200h+.
And here comes the hard part, when somebody clocks 1000h+ in a game without that much variety and content he is poor, narrow minded or just a mouth breather.

What also is a sign of a good game when you clock these hours over a very long time span. At the moment i started playing Pay Day 2 again and i have 230h since 2014.

I feel sorry for those of you who haven't found competitive gaming yet. It's really about the only good thing going for this medium.

Everything else it feels like I can get a better experience from other mediums.

I played through every faction's ending, collected all the unique weapons, and did all the side quests I could find multiple times and it took me around 60 before DLC. You could easily run those a time or two each and not hit 100.
