Furries are gay but you ever cuddle with something fluffy? I used to have a giant schnauzer dog as a kid and he was bigger than me, always had a big dumb smile on and would jump on me. Furry things can be funny, furries are not.

>>382713643
Its very hard I agree. But no game is flawless. You just have to think about a game that really resonated with you as an experience. Something you can still come back to today and enjoy it like when it was just launched. Something you can look past the flaws and really see the inner beauty of, from a fun, technical, artistic, musical etc point of view.
>>382713817

I've played hundreds of games. Maybe a dozen or so have I invested 100+ hours into, it isn't difficult to determine that one of those is likely my favorite.

>>382713643
I guarantee you 80% of the games in this thread are favorites based partly on nostalgia.
I know mine is.
>>382713981
Having a favorite doesn't mean you don't like a lot of video games, it just means that one is particularly near and dear to you for a number of reasons. Maybe it epitomizes everything you like about video games. Maybe you have some special memories of it.
In any case, there's no reason to be elitist here. We're trying to be positive.

I put a shitload of money from an insurance payout/lawsuit settlement that I received in my early 20s into a Vanguard account. Now I'm 33 and have been retired for over 5 years. Getting old isn't so bad if you know how to game the system.

Unsafe working conditions resulting in my ending up in a weeklong coma. I was kinda fucked for about a year and I'll never be quite as sharp as I once was, but now I just sit around living off interest/dividends from my investment and playing vidya, so I don't really mind that I can't do calculus anymore. Also, I was super neurotic when I was smart and constantly had existential crises and niw I'm just kinda dumbly happy and content all the time. Brain trauma is fucking weird.

This is how much of a faggot you will sound like. I love how these little faggots think that being younger = better. TOP KEK. You missed the golden age of gaming, doing highly illegal shit and NOT getting arrested because we didn't have tacticool cops with no morals. I'm not retarded (might have been for sixth months after the accident, though). I just have some memory trouble and I used to have seizures, though it's been five years since the last one. In truth, just living a life of sedentary leisure has dulled me more than anything. I can still do most of the shit I used to (electrical engineering), but it takes longer. We're all just various stages of becoming worm food, anyways, so I ain't really worried about those 10-15 IQ points that I lost.

It's just a difference of pace, I suppose. I'd estimate by around the five year mark I was back to around 90% of my mental capacity, but by that point I'd worked damn hard just to get my mind back to semi-normal. It isn't like recovering from a stroke or anything, but learning to not take your mind for granted changes your outlook on a lot of things, even just how you post on an imageboard.
>>382710352

I know. The hubs are perfect. The NPCs are quirky and lovable and their dialogue is surprisingly good. The side stories they have are fun. They are crafted perfectly, like they take a slice of the most impactful elements of the country. Theres collectibles scattered around to look for and shops to buy food and souvenirs from. And the best part is you can completely walk past them in like 10 seconds, yet a lot of people cried that the hubs were huge and mazelike. Fucking idiots I say.

regarding world and characters, I feel Sonic peaked with Unleashed. Afterward the writing was handed to the west and lost that old school cartoon feel
