8 on ps2. It was the "grand" game that I wanted after play DW7 in my young teens and not getting it. It was so grand and amazing, but not overwhelming in its depth.

Nope, no quadruple to play it on. I'm going to buy a PS4 when 11 drops stateside and get all the DQ games that released prior for cheap. This is how I got that DQSwords game on the Wii, I bought it for $3 years after it came out.

I liked DQ7 quite a bit but never finished it. DQ5 is still my favorite.

At least the PS1 version of DQ7. I played the remake a bit and then I kinda skipped it. I was disappointed about the new one not having the orchestral music.

Also about 8, I just don't dig it that much. I like the story and the environments and all, just I don't like the pacing too much and I find the class system there to be a bit shitty to be hella honest.

I don't know honestly, I'd bank on yes if I were to wager on it. After the failing that FFXV was and how much it eroded SE in the eyes of western weebs I'd think they'd be foolish not to try it.

I don't mind the accents, I don't enjoy them but they aren't the end of the world. So if it comes over but has those accents I'd still buy it.

I literally am not buying a PS4 until 11 comes out here though. So if Sony is worried about it, it is the thing that would make me take the plunge.

I can get behind that sentiment pretty well. In 8, around the time you get the ghost ship and go to the desert I have to take a break and go do the monster arena or some gambling. The way the guy is all somber with his talking there coupled with the harp just puts me to sleep. I get that its a moon thing in a moonrune culture but its just too boring for me. 8 was the first DQ game I tried for real and was blown away by what I thought was the game was just the first half. That was a pacing black hole that messed me up back when it happened for the first time.

8 was the only DQ game I played and actually finished and did the post game stuff for even back on ps2. I had actually gotten the game mostly for the FXII demo tbqh but I ended up enjoying 8. It kind of drags at a certain point but I still enjoyed it enough to finish. Started 7 on 3ds and it's pretty fun and the stories are more interesting. I haven't gotten very far though and haven't even reached class change. I really wish I could put more time into it but there has just been so many games coming out lately that I want to play that I don't have the time for it and I know 7 is really long. Maribel is great though and I love her. Jessica has the dynamite body but Maribel is more fun with her sassiness.

Yup, pretty much.

With 7 it was different for me. I knew I was nowhere near the end more than 100 hours in, but I liked most of the little stories. I got mad once or twice at finding specific pieces, but yeah things like that fucking evil maid made my day.

The alltrades abbey despite being that one point where people get stuck wasn't so much of a problem for me. I got more issues with the fucking time sage. That son of a bitch.

I was gonna let you all finish but DQ5 has the best waifus of all time. Bianca and Debora can be best waifus but Nera is for sure best waifu because she's more of a qt and cares only about you.

Yet another updated DQ5 remake would sell and be amazing but that for sure will never happen.

I actually just uninstalled Heroes because it got repetitive but I enjoyed playing as my girl Alena.
Got the second game hoping that its better.

Dunno about cutest but Alena and Bianca are pretty much the most memorable in the series for me.
Also the brown twins and the fairy in IX are pretty cute too.

Probably not. It probably has the steapest learning curve in terms of how you manage characters and all that stuff. Though mostlybI say this as the game is a solid 100 hour journey so it requires dedication.

My personal favorite DQ but I played it as my fourth DQ game, maybe try some others. If anything try the 3ds version, it's easier ans simplifies some annoying aspects.
