Why do Neptunia sequels have only 5% voice acting? Nepgear

Because American voice actors don't come as cheap as Japanese and companies don't want to spend more than necessary on them.

Voice acting is still acting but you do not deserve even close to $200/hr if you're just phoning in your lines like most do. For $200/hr, I expect the cast to be in the studio together recording with a director there so that the voice acting flows well instead of just sounding like each dialog box was recorded separately

They need to put in an option that switches to the Jap voice overs when a cutscene has no dub.
I am actually okay with the dub voices in Neptunia, but when I get silence and have to go and manually switch to the japanese voices its a real pain. And then in the next scene I got to switch back and check if they gave this one english lines.

In the steam releases you can switch the langauge setting mid cutscene to switch to Japanese as soon as you hit undubbed scenes. The original releases never had the option to.

I recall some of the games had voices removed or such, but the ones with Japanese voices were basically fully voiced.

And I never got why you'd prefer some typically half shitty English or German or Italian or whatever voice actor cast over the usually all professional & typically great Japanese ones.

I enjoyed RB 1&3. 2 is alright but a bit of a slug to get through. Haven't played VII yet really wanna grab it but I'm more excited about 4 Goddess Online than the main series due to the hack n slash combat, I've played the other 2 hack n slash spins offs and they where kind of a bore, even if the one was best girls game. I just hope they fix the boring ass story in this spin off.
