WoC wouldn't really benefit from it. There are a lot of wonky collisions and the pacing overall could stand to be a bit faster, but the most glaring issues are the drab level design and 100% generic art direction and you can't fix those with an N.Sane Trilogy-like makeover.
I'd rather VV did an original entry to be honest. Have the full Skylanders team on it too- the work they did on Superchargers re: level design, gimmicks and visuals would do wonders when applied to a Crash game.

Level design no, but I really think it'd work if they just used all the models/assets from N. Sane in WoC's world.

That being said, yes, WoC is probably when most of those characters looked their absolute worst.
