You've got a skillspeed buff to keep up, a DoT, and a slashing resistance debuff. If it were just that it'd be fine. But then there's iaijutsu, and a skill that removes combo requirements, and then fuck me if I know how that shit is supposed to go together.

During progression having everyone pump out maximum DPS is good because shorter fights reduce the margin of error, and when you've got fights on farm it's good to challenge yourselves to see how fast you can clear something.

It's half of the metric by which they're measured.

Regular Susano? You've got a fair few options. You should always drop Reprisal on him ASAP when Stormsplitter starts, then use Rampart or Dark Arts+Dark Mind, whichever is ready. It's not a big deal. Stormsplitter is Lightning damage, like Sophia's tankbuster, so Dark Mind reduces its damage output.

The same is true for Punishing Heat from Alexander. With Dark Arts, DRK gets a 30% damage reduction every 60 seconds for all those non-physical tank busters Primals swing around.

The point was to bring someone in that hadn't been run into the ground for the past 20 years. Her connection to the alliance, the scions, and her development in the Doman rebellion gave her adequate experience to lead the continuing resistance. That's not to say Mango Pineapple couldn't necessarily do it, but she fits into things a lot better. And Conrad himself wasn't doing so hot as the Resistance leader when we showed up. A lot of work was done afterwards with the help of the scions and alliance.

Nastrond is intended as a "reward" for maintaining BotD, like how BLM gets Foul for keeping Enochian going. Problem is that while BLM gets Foul every 30 seconds, DRG has to maintain BotD for at least a minute to get LotD, and if it falls off due to bullshit boss mechanics then they have to start over from scratch, while BLM can keep Enochian going indefinitely even with nothing to target just by using Transpose.
