Don't know if it's been mentioned, but why would anyone buy this when you can just emulate for free. Pretty sure I'm the first person to mention this. And here's a bonus one: has anyone heard of Raspberry Pi? You can load full romsets from many retro systems onto an SD card. Just wanted to pop in here and make sure you guys are all aware of these points. Haven't seen any of them posted yet. To summarize: you can emulate all these games for free. Just a reminder in case anyone was unaware.

Peace.
>>
I'm not interested in it personally, but I guess people want it for a number of reasons.
Nostalgia. The original controllers. Being able to hook it up to your TV easily.

They'll be emulating the rom from this, too, after it gets ripped.

>Pretty sure I'm the first person to mention this.

can't tell if joking

it's just an official alternative to wanting to just play snes games to your hdtv. Most normies don't know or care about raspberry pis and emulating on your pc is pretty meh to a lot of people.

only lame thing is that it's hard to get for no good reason.

>They'll be emulating the rom from this, too, after it gets ripped.

I don't care that Nintendo releases stuff in limit3d quantity. What makes me mad is they release stuff in limited quantity that is the only way to get official access to unreleased games and content.

There is more to life than /v/. Most people wouldn't waste their time to emulate games. The snes classic is a plug and play emulator for hipsters moms finding christmas gifts and people taking nostalgia trips
>>

>implying Nintendo is going to change anything drastic
It's going to play almost entirely the same. The only thing they might add are some screens for story, but it's going to basically be a prototype Command like it's always been.

Because Marketing and it's Nintendo.

Why do people buy bottled water? Water is free.

i think at that point your problems are stemming from a greater issue
if places like that had citizens who appropriately responded to such shit treatment, things would change a lot quicker.

my city tried to tax people extra because they lived in areas with water mains the city had not maintained for a century. those people made it damn clear that would not slide, and the plan changed as a result.

They have nunchuk ports, not SNES ports. So they're like the SNES controllers that you could get from Club Nintendo for a while.

Nostalgia. The SNES was my first console. I've got enough things to do already, I don't wanna bother with a Rasperry Pi, and SNES cases for it look like shit.

That said, I just looked at the price and it seems a bit on the steep end, so I'm gonna have to think about it.
>>
i bought 7 so i can resell and make a few hundred bucks profit from it like i did with the NES classic and Switch. Your raspberry pi is going to be worth the same $20 in 20 years and the officially licensed Nintendo product will increase in value.

Setting up a Raspberry Pi as an emulation box is actually more expensive than buying a SNES Classic. And I'm not sure what the latest model of the Pi is like but I have on of the original models and that crashes if you try to power two USB devices while running a graphical desktop environment (so I can't imagine that emulation would be brilliant on a Pi). Admittedly a PC can play more than 21 SNES games but this product clearly isn't meant for people that are looking for a cheap way to play SNES games.
>>
>>382591984
It's interesting to think about just how much the Star Fox series would have changed if they had released Star Fox 2. How different the games we'd be playing today would be if that was the defining Star Fox game instead of 64. If that kind of in-depth gameplay had released in 1995 instead of being shoveled into a crappy 2006 DS game.

It retroactively makes me hate 64 a bit.

Long time /v/ user here. The Raspberry Pi may initially seem like it's much cheaper than the Super Nintendo Entertainment Systemâ„¢ Classic Miniâ„¢, however the actual price of the Rasperry Pi is actually dramatically higher when you account for the other peripherals you need in order to use it.

Nintendo® Super Nintendo Entertainment System™ Classic Mini™ - $79.99
Total cost - $79.99

Raspberry Pi 3 - $35.00
Micro USB power supply - $20.00
Raspberry Pi 3 case - $50.00
256 GB SDXC MicroSD card - $199.99
AudioQuest Diamond 16m (52.49 feet) Braided HDMI Cable - $13,499.75
LG Electronics 98UB9810 98-inch 4K Ultra HD 3D Smart LED TV - $39,997.00
Bose Lifestyle 650 Home Entertainment Surround-Sound System - $3,999.00
Harley Gaming Futon with Speaker - $431.49
Oceanside house in Laguna Beach, California - $29,500,000.00
Frosted Cookies and Cream Pop-Tarts, 12-pastry packs x 10,000 - $165,200.00
Total cost - $29,723,432.23

Additionally, in order to actually play Nintendo® games on the Pi, you have to pirate them. You wouldn't steal a loaf of bread from a starving child, and pirating our video games is no different.

It's actually more than that, iNES headers have been found in every single NES game Nintendo has rereleased. Even the ROMs in the first Animal Crossing, and even stuff like NES Remix.
They've never used a NES ROM from their 'vault', everything was downloaded off the internet.

They're selling rasberry pi emulator machines decked out to look like old consoles at Five Below for 5 bucks.

Granted they're chinese made but for 5 dollars you can get a tiny emulator shaped like an SNES in clear hot pink plastic. No USB controllers though it's just the base emulator, they also come in a variety of colors.

There's clear pink with purple SNES case, blue and purple SNES case, Blue and Lime green NES case, pink and white NES case, red and white NES case, and then OG SNES case colors.

No normal looking NES cases, they come on blister packs with a brick wall background and some poorly imitated Nintendo characters. The only thing that it comes with is the USB power cord. Controllers and video cable you have to supply yourself.

Also a booklet of poorly translated english instructions on how to install emulated games.

I got one, but the only USB controller I have is an Xbox 369 one.

not at all

myostatin is a transcription factor that inhibits muscle cell biogenesis by activating other transcription factors. it helps control muscle growth in your body.

in biochemistry, the larger your muscles are, the more energetically unfavorable and thermodynamically inefficient they are to move, which is a waste of energy. in addition to this, your bones would not grow properly if your muscles were strong enough to support all of the stress placed on your limbs.

It is simply the fact that its an officially licensed product. The fact that its an official product is pretty much it. Which is the reason that people gloat about the merch they have bought instead of like investing and making their own custom shit which being custom could be made an infinte ammount more times cheaper and over all cooler.
