Custom firmware. You need to find an older model which hasn't been updated.

This is what I did since I was too lazy/scared of figuring out how to jailbreak my PS3

>go to craiglist
>type in ps3 jailbreak or something like that
>found guy who lived 20 minutes away from me who did it for 40 bucks
>take my ps3 to his garage
>sit around in his garage and chill while he jailbreaks it
>go home
>format my usb flashdrive
>download PS3 game
>load up "multiman" on my PS3
>play

And that's all. Just make sure your specific PS3 will work for it. Played so many games I missed on the PS3 that way for being a poorfag. Will probably do the same in the future when the PS4 gets jailbroken.
