You can't call it "ballistics" if it's not real ballistics, you get my point? It's just fixed bullet drop at certain ranges, not dynamic.
Not to mention arma 3 does almost everything dynamic - sound engine for example. No sound in arma 3 sounds the same because the engine actually processes the terrain you're around and alters the audio accordingly.

entirely depends on where you are and what you choose to do. the player map is an 8x8km island with 7-8 cities, as well as rolling hills, forests, beaches, rivers, wheat fields, farmhouses, mountains, you name it. so if you decide to go to a city/town, yeah you're gonna be cqbing. but you might get sniped from the hills outside the town, or you might get sniped on your way there. the game is about making educated guesses as to where other people are and how and when you should move. the circle forces everyone to move, and i'd say 90% of winning the game is timing your movements so that people don't notice you entering the safe zone or don't have an opportunity to shoot you.
