The Last of Us is my favorite game followed by Half-Life 2 and Ocarina of Time. I also think HL2 is far, far better than 1
I've played through Human Revolution five or six times. I played the tutorial level of the original and dropped it because it seemed like a slog to get through

I haven't moved onto UC3 yet, don't know if I ever will, but I kept dying over and over again to the first Yeti encounter in the second game because it was so fucking terribly designed. Holy shit. I was actually mad as hell over that shit, that people played that game, that whole fucking game, having had to have played that specific part, and actually finished the game thinking that it was GOAT material. That was one of the worst boss fights in any shooter I've played. It actually made me upset that other shooters with much better boss fights, and enemies period, like Vanquish for one, never got the recognition they deserved. Yet completely average games like that were so high on peoples GOAT lists. Fucking Resident Evil 5, 6, and Revelations 2 had better boss fights than that shit and you almost never hear people say as much.

I've never finished a MGS game. Played 2 and 3 some back in the day, but never beat them. Didn't bother picking up 4 or 5 because I wanted to play the previous games first. Been telling myself I'd get around to it for years now, though

The roster includes characters from more franchises I like.
I do not like Smash Bros weight based ring out system, nor the struggle of staying on, or keeping others off the stage.
The supers based kills takes getting used to but its actually pretty satisfying once you get the hang of it.

I played and liked every Assassin's Creed game and Origins is one of the titles I'm currently really looking forward to.
I play turn-based JRPGs on easy difficulty if possible to skip grinding, because I generally don't enjoy the combat system that much and play mostly for the story.
Similarly, I only really play fighting games singleplayer, because I suck at playing them competitively, but often enjoy their aesthetics.
I feel a sort of obligation to finish every game I start and I'm often disappointed in myself, because I can't keep up with my own abstract "schedule" of playing it (mostly because I spend too much time shitposting here) and therefore can't start playing any new ones that I might be interested in.

I really like Infinite Warfare's campaign and wish they'd spent more resources on it instead of the multiplayer. It has everything it needs to be a space adventure on the same level as Mass Effect. You captain a full size carrier that is ridiculously detailed and feels incredibly lived in. The characters are well-acted and likable. Every main mission starts with the same routine of choosing your destination, giving authorization to make the jump, making the jump, heading down to the armory to gear up, and then heading to the hangar or drop bay or fighter tubes to deploy to your mission.

I honestly want /v/'s opinion on this, because I feel like I'm the only one that thinks this game is incredibly immersive.

In Grand stratagey games like Paradox games or Total war Napoleon, I always try to ceate as many vassals or puppet states to be my little buddies. Fallout 3 is my personal favorite fallout game, probably my favorite game of all time, but it's for more personal reasons and i recognize it's an objectively bad fallout game in comparison to what fallout should be

I have over 2k hours in tf2, mostly as soldier, and can only do the basics of rocket jumping, and can rarely land an airshot becaus i never practiced those things

Despite playing thousands of hours of first person shooters, I still have a horribly mediocre aim

I think overwatch is an okay game, it's just not the sort of game I personally enjoy, and it's radically different from tf2 to the point where it's sort of unfair to compare them. Though I disagree with many of the design choices, and dislike the low skill ceiling

I form my own opinions about things, and withold all judgement until I personally try the game out for myself

I love the Souls games but have always thought Bloodborne was a load of shit for it's level design.

I really don't care for difficulty in games and always play on easy or normal. I just want to know what happens next, not do the same thing over and over until I'm lucky.
I want to be burried in the stories of characters and have multiple choices that matters in the long run (which NEVER happen in any video game I played)
I loved telltale TWD and loved the protector role I had for Clementine, same with Dishonored 1 and Emily.

I am coming to realize that western rpgs are an overrated genre by /v/. Most have terrible gameplay. Shoddy stories because they allow player 'choice'. And a backwords ass difficulty curve that usually has you weak as fuck to start, but in the end the games offer no challenge. Half the time you are reading pointless dialogue, and the other half running around trying to get to the next quest point where you spend 30 seconds killing something, then on to the next dialogue and more running.

I have no problem with MGSV's open world. There are a couple of valleys in Afghanistan that stretch on a bit but there aren't really used outside of one or two missions. The Africa map is fun to traverse, with most of the locations on the savannah or located at its edges. Get all the invoices, take D-Walker out in the field, call in various missions or mail yourself to side Ops locations feels organic and spontaneous.

I love Diablo 3 and play it almost everyday. I've played Torchlight II, Grim Dawn, and PoE but Diablo 3 just feels so much better to play. I liked Diablo 2 a lot back in the day as well but it has aged like milk.

I vastly enjoy playing MGSV more than I enjoy watching MGS4 or MGS1

MGSV is the only game in the series I've played and I loved the hell out of it.
I've logged 40 hours on ftl but never beat the mothership on normal
I play my steam games on a MacBook pro because I do graphic design as my side gig

There's a lot to enjoy in it, and the bullshit parts are generally mitigated upon subsequent playthroughs once you know what to expect and how to prepare for them. The armors and new mechanics give it some of the most replay value out of the series.

I used to consider myself a big fan of fightan games, but after SFxTK, SFV, KOF14 getting ignored by everyone, and MCVI looking weak, I am loosing all interest in the genre. I play collectable card games instead now.

I decided to play Shadowverse instead of Hearthstone because I have an irrational hatred of Blizzard.

I loved Magic Duels, and am super butthurt that game isn't getting anymore updates.

I think Smash deserves respect as a fightan game, if you can't agree to that term, it deserves respect as a competitive video game. That being said, I prefer Sm4sh, mainly because I missed the boat on playing Melee back in the day, but I was there and ready for Sm4sh launch, so I am much more familiar with Sm4sh.
