Are game developers listening to their communities a little to much nowadays? To a point where a minority in the community whine enough to ruin the game?
blame the internet

They are
Devs barely did shit to games back in the day and they were fine
>>382503432
You used the wrong preposition.
>>382503432
>Devlopers who dont even play the game should balance willy nilly
N
O
Is he right?
>>382504135
sorta. if you want to make something great, listen to yourself. if you want to make something that sells a lot, listen to everyone else.
>>382504135
He is fuck the community it your game not theirs Esport faggots have infected multiplayer games too
its a shit show
It depends, but for the most part, yeah.
Every stupid cock sucker is either too bad to or too chickenshit to keep playing one of the actual MLG Esport games so they want every new game to cater to their 6 vs 6 arena sporting event bull shit.
match making and meta-gaming ruined a hell of a lot of multiplayer games.

I think developers pay too much attention to the people who don't even play their games.
>>382504135
He's right
Any game dev worth their salt will ignore the what the community wants. Gamers have proven time and time again that they don't actually know what they want in video games.
It depends on the environment of the community, I think. The worst types are when developers have their own personal sites with community forums, because people usually post to either A.) suck the devs' dicks and brown nose, and/or B.) bitch about everything, since most people don't even bother signing up for forums unless they're upset about something.
The three B's (Blizzard, Bethesda, and Bioware) are probably the worst offenders of this. All of them are essentially hugboxes for the developers to keep their egos stroked.

>match making and meta-gaming ruined a hell of a lot of multiplayer games.
>muh muh rank
Fuck competitive shitters match making is cancer
>>382505138
It's even more frustrating when it completely shits on the purpose of the game.
>Make giant 32 vs 32 operations-scale game with vehicles and huge maps.
>DUHHH BUT WHERES MUH SIX VERSUS SIX MATCHMAKING RANKED
>>382505138
>>382505468
Dead by Daylight had a perk system where your character would gain game changing skills by leveling up. You could only level up by playing in ranked lists and you could not take party members into a ranked list
>>382505138
>dude this match making sucks puts me versus the wrong guys
>but you asked for it
>ITS NOT GOOD THE TEAMS ARE STACKED IM A GOOD PLAYER I SWEAR
>>382503432
Not really, it's not like they change the game to appeal cancer.
