That would be okay. A total reworking of the hearty food and yellow hearts system would be good too.
I'm among those who think hearty foods used to merely be CAPABLE of causing an overhealed state, but Nintendo decided that people were having trouble figuring out how that works so they just attached a heal to full HP to every yellow heart.

Its pretty lazy. The new armors don't even have new functionality.
I still just REALLY want more regional specific world boss-type monsters. Give me a dodongo at Death Mountain, give me a Gleeock in Hebra, Arrghus in a swamp. They could have even been in tiny mini-dungeon type areas, like the Yiga base. They could each be protecting a shrine, as well.
This is my biggest problem with BotW, lack of enemy diversity. I don't dislike what's in the game by any means, but there's not enough marquee NOW THIS IS ZELDA type monster fights. One would think in a world dominated by Ganon for a century, some real big nasties would have carved out territory somewhere.
