If there's still a way to install cfw then yes. It's nice being able to play all my favorite GBA/NES games for free and the 3DS games are just gravy.

Depends of you enjoy the titles but can recomend a 3ds or the 2dsxl. Some great games are the Pokemon collection, Zelda collection, Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, Rune factory 4, Smashbro

Look at the library. I only got a 3DS for Pokemon. The rest of the library doesn't interest me at all unfortunately. I'm happy I'm at least getting one final pokemon game before the series stops being portable.

Yes, it has a great library.
New 3DS XL is the best model, and some come with IPS screens.
New 2DS XL is second best, although they're all apparently shitty ass TN screens.
O3DS XL is good enough, same screen lotto as the first, but not as good 3D.
O3DS is cheaply made and feels as such, but it gets the job done.
2DS is if you can't afford anything else or are simply too cheap.
