I'm not into lolis, or attracted to her. But Nino is just adorable in every way, and isn't supposed just a kawaii moe shit. She actually has use, and isn't about just making the generic cute girl quota.
Her english voice sounds perfect to me as well, so that's a bonus.
I don't know, Nino is just one of the least shit cute characters I've known, and is actually adorable instead of forcefully adorable.

For the record, another character comments that this shouldn't even be possible. Nino's just that good.

It also helps that there are spoilery reasons for her to be this good.

Her mom isn't her real mom, Sonja just straight up murdered Nino's entire family and took Nino on her boss's orders. She hated the idea and hated Nino and treated her like shit and did nothing for her, so Nino's life has been suffering. Nino's original family was a famous line of powerful mages, so she had a lot of inherited raw talent for spellcasting, and in gameplay that turns into her starting out at level 5 unpromoted near the very end of the game. It's difficult to use her normally because she starts so weak but if you baby her enough, her growths are usually good enough to catch her stats up to the rest of your troops at an earlier level and surpass them once they're equal leveled.

Her bitch stepmom was a mage and refused to teach her anything because she was a bitch, but Nino just observed and copied her stepmom's chants and pretty much bullshitted her way into becoming a mage. It's not even supposed to be possible but Nino's real family were incredibly powerful mages and so in other words it's literally down to her sheer natural talent. It's reflected in-game too, she's the Est archetype of her game.

Nino didn't really suffer that much while she was ignorant of her true family. Until Sonia dropped the bomb on her Nino truly thought that she loved her and the other members of the fang treated her kindly. It was a fake happiness, but it's much more preferable to what other characters in the series went through.

Yes and no? Sonja was unconditionally a shitty mom who was abusive and manipulative as fuck, using the prospect of a mother's love and affection to get her to do her bidding, including her planned death. The rest of the Fang were nice, sure, but her actual parental figure was actively shit and that affects people.

Do others have it worse? Yeah, sure. But you'd be retarded if you didn't think she suffered.

I've personally been in a situation similar to hers (minus the murder) when I was younger, so I've got a soft spot for her and her situation. I won't turn this into a liveblog but let's just say you might not think things were bad when you're in the middle of it all but later in life you look back and you go "What in the absolute fuck".
