Yakuza 0. I didn't really know what to expect but seeing the love the series gets for such a long time, I had to give it a try. I fucking love it. the characters are interesting, the story exciting, the humor is brilliant, and my god, the fighting is so satisfying. I can't wait for the remake of the first game. Everspace. I'm enjoying it so far. It's real nice to have a 6DOF shooter that isn't janky and old, but the roguelike mechanics can be grating. Or, not the roguelike mechanics as much as the roguelite meta-mechanics. They're probably even done well but nothing kills any disapointment and/or satisfaction from a game like this quicker than a swift reminder that you can permenantly upgrade stats across runs, so your performance is implicitly tied to how much you've unlocked.

The game proper is pretty damn solid though.

Persona 5. This game is adorable and has a great soundtrack.

I'm really impressed by it. I really feel like the levels are large and sprawling, also very vertical. It feels like I can really make my own route through each stage and make my own solutions to the problems presented. That being said, with levels being so large, I wish they were sometimes broken up into separate stages, or the auto-save was more active. But seriously the best stealth game I have played in years. Hopefully the sequel comes down in price soon.

D3, Necromancer. It's better then I expected but I think PoE still did horde-summoner better. That being said the non-summoning skills are pretty fun and I've gone farther with the necro than all the other D3 classes. Going to push into GR60+ once I get off the toilet. Might even play in the next ladder season.

Breath of the Wild. I'm trying out Hard Mode and enjoying it a lot, very high stakes.

The writing of the game is horrible but for me it doesn't stand in the way of enjoying the gameplay. It's definitely the best Borderlands game, gameplay-wise, and I consider it a guilty pleasure of mine. It's still a bulletspongy dropfest which I usually don't enjoy at all. I just play it to get new skills, but after a while that gets tiring.

It's not as bad as /v/ says it is, but it also not that good. I wouldn't pay for it, but if someone gifted it to me, I would play it with him.

Not as awe-striking as the first time going through rapture, but the game does hold its own. Can't speak for the similarities between system shock, because i haven't played it.
Regardless the game does work with whatever playstyle suits your fancy. 1-2 punch still works :^)
