unskippable cutscenes are bad design, but maybe not bad "game" design. I mean, I guess cutscenes aren't actually a game... yea it just seems like shit design

Good: which attack a boss is going to do in megaman
Bad: Random Enemy casts death 5% hit chance and is unblock-able

Unavoidable damage is useful in setting up risk vs reward situations and if you're not stocked on health enough to deal with it it's your own damn fault.

The only real sins are:

Unskippable cutscenes
Unavoidable damage
"Casual filters"
Unskippable in-game tutorials
Split paths you can't backtrack to and have no indication which is the side path with missable objects

These are all that come to mind.
