But really, almost all action games are heavily story based. Play Max Payne. Play classic PC horror games and console ports. Play System Shock 2. Play Legacy of Kain.

If you like BioShock, you definitely should try Dishonored. It's similar in some ways, but also different. It's more stealth-focused, but don't worry if you suck at proper stealth games. It's basically Diet Stealth™. You can fucking teleport so it's not that hard.
