Roblox, as a game engine, has been upgraded over time, but in the wrong direction.
Old Roblox wasn't good for much more than brickbattles, but that was perfectly fine, and as better programmers got attracted to the game, if Roblox stayed that way some seriously great stuff could have been made.

But now, very few games take advantage of the efficiency and fun of Roblox physics, because Roblox has made it easier and easier to make other types of games.

There something called "Finobe". It uses the old Roblox engine that dates back to 2010. I played it, had fun, but my glee was short lived because the community mostly consist of little edgy 13 year olds who still think montage parodies are relevant and funny.

I unironically enjoy the simplicity of Phantom Forces, and I unironicallyspend multiple hours per week on it. Fully grown adults have it easy mode on that game since most of the players are under 13 and you can top leaderboards no sweat.
If I was autistic enough I'd consider making a private server if it was possible, most other games atm are pure fucking cancer but that one focuses enough to have potential. Plus you get skin cases and keys for free, so it's half better than CSGO already. Needs more maps.
