I love this game. I bought all the dlc and know it's dead. Literally no matches in the dlc playlists. All the servers (which is like 3) run walker assault.

Get 2 on PS4. It's the only platform where the first one never died and still has plenty of players. Even Battlefield 1 on PC is nearly dead already, BF2 will be no different.

easy they ripped out to many features that the previous game(s) had. Even renegade squadon had more features and that was a PSP game.

i bought it on PC when it came out. i liked the game, but hackers ruined the experience. got a refund within 48 hours.

Console games player bases tend to last longer for lesser known multiplatform games. I've noticed it with SC blacklist and Gears UE and 4 as well.
