Can I just take a moment to point out that a new Spider-Man movie is about to come out in like a week or so and we STILL have not seen him in this game? There have literally been 5 movies before he entered the MCU. All of his major villains have been used at this point short of Kingsley's Hobgoblin which might as well never happen given how much has to happen to get to him.

If you're talking about something like Peter growing up and settling down, guess what, Sony would never allow that, hence the first reboot and comics wise, Marvel literally made him do a deal with the devil to erase his marriage long before Disney was even a thing.

Only 2 out of those 5 movies were decent and Venom being the most popular villain in the franchise got sloppy seconds in his first movie appearance. Just so you know, Iron Man/Tony Stark are barely in Homecoming. In fact all the reviews say its a very low-key story that strongly focuses on Peter. Sony just went apeshit in marketing cause RDJ sells movies.
