There's a lot of things to do, if you don't follow any guides and just scavenge and dig around as you're suposed to, you will be playing over 10h

Heck, Topless Gun himself said that the fun of the game would be discovering by yourself how to mount the entire car as a puzzle, so watching or reading an walkthrough takes the fun out of it.

Also there's "sidemissions" that can appear on your phone

maybe he can do something like, you have to build up and upgrade the satsuma and use its trade in value to replace it with a different buildable car or something. i love the game it just has kerbal space program syndrome, when you get your car/interstellar rocket finished, you realize that the amount of content left is almost nonexistant. at least you can do the rally and drag races in MSC, but landing on planets in KSP is basically "click science buttons for 30 sec then leave"
