You and I could be friends, Vita + DS lite is what I have and a psp hacked but the button PCB board is busted, I just get the games for vita since it's far and away better in every way. The shitty psp screen is covered by plastic that ages. (I've hacked and repaired a few) and scratches easily.

My vita 1000 screen doesnt have a screen protector and doesn't have a scratch at all, I take care of it though.

Analog on my psp 1000 I can't stand it, it's so cheap feeling after using vitas great sticks.

It's probably the only console in the last generation I actively supported. The amount of games that clicked with me on it was surprising as hell, and I hope a successor is announced because otherwise I'll just go back to pirating everything.

Once I find a decent Vita that can be hacked I'll probably pick it up and pirate all the unlocalized shit too.

I'm 29, I had a Game Gear, GBC, GBA, DS, PSP, 3DS and Vita.
Saying that the GBA was even remotely as good as the GBC or the DS is laughable, but it's true that the DS is vastly better than the 3DS, PSP and Vita are more or less on the same level but only someone who actually can play their libraries to the fullest can tell.

DS/DS Lite

Especially the Lite. The DS Lite may be the finest designed handheld ever made in my eyes. It fit perfectly in your pocket. The screens were the same size. It came out at a point where smaller games on handhelds were still a thing and we got all kinds of awesome new entries and re-releases from big and small companies alike.

It was the system before mobile ruined everything. It had JRPGs galore, great 2D stuff, experimental stuff, great Nintendo support, great third party support. It had everything.

It's not just the greatest handheld imo, but one of the best systems ever made.
