I'm taking my time playing through this. It definately seems like the type of game that would burn people out. But I'm enjoying seeing my oasis expand each time I get on to play.

This. I just had my first Gourmet thing and on my way to the second dungeon. Still having fun and looking for materials.
I love the character's animations when they buy things, and I can't get enough of the leveling-up-the-Oasis cutscene where they hold hands. It's too cute.

There's really not much to discuss, it's just a solid game. /v/ only talk about games when they want to shitpost about it.

What's the difference between playing as a boy or a girl? Does girl mc get cute dresses? Does boy mc get to tongue kiss esna and the lizards?

Maxed out my oasis level, going on the final quest for the last resident.
It's definitely grindy and despite the management streamlining you get, you're still basically resource hunting 24/7 in midgame and endgame. On the other hand you always have something to do between the residence quests, the shop upgrade quests, and the labyrinths.
The combat is basic, but sometimes frustrating to watch when your AI teammates stand around in attack radius, or when you get stunlocked or juggled around the place by a mob of enemies.
Overall though it's a solid game, definitely pick it up if you're looking for a light RPG and cute characters.

There could be more to most of what's going on, but if they did that it'd probably take away from how the game as it is flows extremely well with a constant string of tasks after the first few hours. I think it's pretty good.

I'm about 20 hours in. It's a bit of a slow burn (especially prepping for the first festival, what a slog) but it starts getting better and more challenging after it finishes dumping all that tutorial nonsense on you.

The combat is simple and fun enough but holy SHIT it can get infuriating when there's more than one enemy attacking you. The fucking evil flowers are the worst since they fire projectiles and also block and do an AOE attack. Oh and they do status effects as well so you're likely to be slowed down. I didn't even get knocked out once until those fuckers showed up.

Honestly, I think the combat system doesn't work well for more than two enemies, and even that is a stretch sometimes. Especially the dang rolling armadillo things, if you're locked onto one the camera does sharp turns to follow it and pulls you away from keeping track of the other one. My first wipes were almost entirely a room of two armadillos.

Yeah the squirrelbats can be a pain in the ass too. If they added simple teammate commands like "attack enemies I attack" or "focus on healing" it'd be a huge help. The AI is all over the place honestly. Sometimes I'll be impressed with how well they're doing and other times they just kinda stand there while I'm being juggled.
It'd probably be pretty useful to add some basic magic attacks you could use without a wand too, like inflicting status effects on enemies or some sort of spell that pushes them back momentarily for when there's too much going on. If there was a cooldown on those then I think it could work.
