Medusa likes her Quick combos, so Assassins in general. Other people who produce crit stars and have 2x Quick cards/Quick NP are nice as well. Caesar is surprisingly good and works well.

But the first few events, assuming we follow the JP schedule, aren't anything major. Work up free roll characters and any of the good 1-3*'s and you'll be fine. I'd make sure to have at least one of each class max as far as you can get them just so all bases are covered.

Use an arts team. Preferably two characters with 3-1-1 arts, but as long as they have 2 arts cards and not 1 it should be doable.
Team comp is important. If you're using a 3-1-1 buster deck, 3-1-1 arts deck, and a 3-1-1 quick deck together on the same team you're going to get crushed. You should ideally be sending off either a 3 card combo, a NP, or an extra attack combo every single turn on average.

Those are the rate-up events for the JP version, and we should expect to see roughly the same release schedule. There was a rate-up campaign around Dec 15th for Scathach as the only 5*, which meant you had a good chance of getting her if you pulled a 5*. She also had a rate-up at the beginning of next year (for a day), as a 6mil downloads promotion, and as part of the following New Year.

Her swimsuit version is the welfare of the first Summer event, so you could easily get 5 copies just by playing it through fully.
