I currently have a 650ti. I don't really care about playing things maxed out, just tired of barely being able to play anything past 2013.
Is this worth it?
that doesnt sound bad but i would ask how long hes used it

and if it's ever been overclocked
>tfw gtx 650
>>382371704
he probably tried to mine ether with it.
>>382371975
This is what I'm worried about.
There's like 4 craigslist ads in my area that are "ethereum/zcash mining rigs". All 3 of the 970s I see state "Upgraded to 1080".
>>382371975
What's so bad about that? Spoonfeed me please.
>>382371838
it literally has SSC in the name, it's at the least factory overclocked

Don't touch this shit. Wait a couple months before upgrading and even then be really careful.
Ask for receipts, see purchase date.

Means the cards have been running at full blast for god knows how long with few to no breaks in between. Some argue it just means you know the card will work, but most would tell you that means the card could easily be near the end of its life while offering noticeably worse performance than a regular use card

man I'm real glad i decided to upgrade earlier this year, fuck these cryptoniggers fucking the market up
>>382372457
idk what SSC means desu senpai
>>382372524
Wait a few months for ethereum shitheads to to fuck off?
>>382372727
super superclocked, it's an EVGA thing
OP here what about this dude: https://orlando.craigslist.org/sop/6190717715.html
Seems to be a non-cryptofag but I honestly have no idea. I just wanna play Nier man...
>>382372727
They'll take longer than a few months to realize they're throwing away money? My bad, then.
>>382373041
Idk I'm just wondering why wait a few months. That was my guess as to what you meant.
>>382372640
the number of retards trying to mine on their main driver gaming cards and getting artifacting out the ass after a few weeks has been high
>>382373232
Oh misunderstanding. Yes. exactly that. Maybe even longer. Just be extremely cautious. Late january '17 card purchases are gonna be bad news.
>>382372935
I guess it's not impossible that he's used it for cryptoshit, but I would still take the chance. $150 is currently a really good price for a 970
Not OP but I'm using a 4G R9 380
When should I upgrade if I'm still planing to play 1080P Vidya for the next three years or so?
