Realistically, consider that the hype for the Switch has basically died down for now, so early adopters and that initial marketing push have obviously died down. Splatoon 2 is releasing in three weeks, so there will be a definite increase in sales for that time frame. But also consider that we're currently in the summer; most families (a majority of Switch buyers) are saving up their money to go on vacation, which tend to run pretty expensively. Switch is still a decent investment, so the money that would normally be spent to buy a system is being saved to go on holiday. Main reason why PS4 is currently outpacing it is likely because it's a cheaper system with a bigger library right now.

I personally expect Switch sales to pick up temporarily during a big release, but they'll likely hover around where they are now for a while. You can expect a HUGE marketing push once we get to November though; have a feeling Switch sales are gonna skyrocket near Christmas.
