Random deathmatch, which replaced the term "freekilling." It means that you killed someone without a valid reason. Without said rule, certain gamemodes would be essentially unplayable (namely RP and TTT (which is a clue-esque game that kinda relies on the idea that only the bad guys are killing people for no reason))

I understand that Dark RP is trash, and that you can't actually put your hands up in gmod (and also having no animation for pulling a weapon out), but the general idea is that you wouldn't do something that's likely to get you shot like in real life, like reaching for a gun while one is trained on you

It's a power fantasy. They get to be powerful in a gamemode where not everyone is able to defend themselves, but having money gives you a lot of options for dominating over others.
