Genjis are a mixed bag in my experience. But they're generally less annoying than Hanzos, yes.

I've had Hanzos climb into high sniping positions, get hurt, and call for healing while staying put on top of a building only he can climb.

Protip: Carrying the team does not mean "I was a Mercy and I kept healing everyone!" It means doing a large amount of all the work. Someone doesn't carry as Zenyatta because they're healing, they carry because they're healing and killing and also pushing the team back. It's impossible to carry a team with Mercy unless your team is so bad that you're outperforming them with your pistol and still healing them. You can certainly get some clutch revives in and such but if that's carrying then so is the Hanzo who misses every shot but then gets a lucky random dragonstrike.
