I thought I was playing EP by mistake. It's like I missed a ton plot points or something right at the start of the game.

P1 and 2's pacing in the beginning is as breakneck fast as the newer games is snail's pace slow.

You get your whole party an hour in so you have time to develop them.
You don't have 9 party members.
They all have affinities and can be used in the same way instead of having a hero and his swappable Pokemon team.
