I think 30fps actually benefits this game. The way it's animated, with a lot of smears and GOOD motion blur, makes it look and feel like playing a cartoon. It's really neat. A 60fps framerate would completely destroy that.
All memes aside, the framerate honestly is cinematic.

Computer engineer here. The human eye can't even notice past 24 fps anyways. It's the disconnect between the monitor and the game that let's you realize if there's a frame rate drop. If we had monitors that held a steady 24 frames then every game would look as clear as movies do.

30 FPS means that the control is polled only 30 times per second, which in a platformer game means you have less control over where crash will actually land for example. It's just less options, specially when going in a high speed.

For Crash, it's not the end of the world. It probably is a sign of the times, where the devs didn't invest time into optimization because they don't have to, which is frustrating, but undeserving of all the noise autists are making about it.

That literally how input works. At 60 fps, frames drawn every 16 ms, but at 30 this number becomes 33, double that amount. Most properly programmed games do not tie inputs and general game logic to fps, however, you won't see results of your button presses until new frame is drawn, so when game run at 30 fps you get double the amount of perceived input lag. I can doubt that the TV I was playing was shit, it was at a bar that had PS4 setup, so people can play some shit like Fifa and MK, while getting high, so chances of the having properly setup TV is next to nil. However, this does not dispute literal math from the equation. Different anon, input lag by definition is a technical problem. Literally the difference in time between making a input and when that input is displayed on screen.
Whether that difference is a problem is a matter of opinion up to the point where a game requires inputs faster than said game can process them.
