Because the people who don't buy their games out of spite is a tiny minority. Most people either don't give a fuck about EA to play their latest FIFA or they don't give enough of a fuck to just pirate it.

They still make some fun games.

Got pretty much a monopol on sport licenses for games and got lucky with disney giving them exclusive rights for NuWars

Also they buy good devs/IPs in general even though they destroy them in the process

I'm one such person who has 'boycotted' EA games, but it's out of convenience rather than out of spite.

I play on the Steam client predominantly and cbf to install another client. And also none of their games interest me.
