all it had was the atmosphere and music, which are still pretty top tier

You have to remember that at the time RPGs were all turn based and playing this was like a glimpse into the future. It's hard to understand when open world action RPGs are a dime a dozen

I loved the hell out of SD3. I beat it six times with different classes each run. So I figured this game couldn't be that bad, but for some reason it just didn't engage me like SD3. Is it really that inferior? I've thought about giving it another chance, I never played that far into it.
