Va-11 Hall-A did what it set out to achieve well - it's a comfy-ass bartender bantz simulator. It's a nice break from all the VNs that have you tackle world-ending threats and "muh deep philosophies" with terrible writing and edginess puring from every orifice.

I just wish there was more content in the game, I very much enjoyed the comfy lesbochan threads with that one anon shitposting about marrying the thread subject, I enjoyed the clickbaity newspaper with the editor coming in to get shitfaced and complaining how much he hates the whole thing, it all provided this feeling of being natural and something that could actually exist in that world.

I don't know, I just don't like it. It feels kind of like an mmo in the way it plays. Also I hate having only three abilities tied to keys, one of those being the E key. Plus, no matter what voice you choose in the character creation screen your character will have the same mature young adult voice during cutscenes and that really takes me out of it when my character is basically a child or an extremely muscular guy.

This game's story was crap. The gameplay was basic as fuck but what irked me the most was the god damn story, a lot of characters were just there for no real reason and had no backstory to them, who comes to mind first is that Mario guy who was gay and that's it. The main plot fell short at the end and leaves you saying 'what? that's it?' and the unlockable extra ends are disappointing and aren't very worth it.

Unless it gets a sequel it's a sub-par game that isn't worth the money.
