Do people not remember the very similar complaints being lobbed at Splatoon? While it had a more lengthy single-player it's multiplayer was more bare bones than ARMS' right now.

I've been playing it everyday for an hour. Use the motion controls to try and keep it engaging. I've unlocked most + weapons for Kid Cobra.
It's not DOA it's just a game better served by moderation.

The content between the two at the start is similar besides Splatoon having more story in-game.

The real draw Splatoon has over ARMS is leveling up being tied to unlocking new weapons and checking shops daily for new clothes. The arms getter just isn't as satisfying as those especially because you can already try every arm in the game from the start between all the default sets.

Arms really needed a beefy single player campaign with cinematics and shit. They also needed way more unlockables besides the arms, I'm cosmetics clothing, victory/defeat animations, soundbites, etc.
