They could have made the story about a young huntress just starting her path has a hunter and how she slowly build her team,a wacky and snarky palico making smartass comments at her mistakes but pushing her foward...comarades coming and leaving,challanges and stuff but no...it had to be the fucking safest cliche

It's not even monster hunter. Whatever those trailers or leaked footage was, it was basically godzilla attacking new york. Nothing at all to do with monster hunter. Why couldn't they put in the effort and made a fantasy movie? Lao Shen Lung attacking a stronghold or some shit. Make it like lord of the rings. Please everyone.
