>Normal difficulty of the game unlocks New Game + after 100 hours
>New Game + is the real version of the game with completely new enemies, equipment, and areas
Why is this the best video game trope ever?
What video game even does this?
>devs keep content away from you until you hit a time threshold
how is this good? you're being tricked into liking something because you see new things.

Transistor and the Borderlands Games as far as I've played, but there have to be more out there
>>382282446
Good question. You make it sound like that 100 hours you played was some kind of extended tutorial...
>>382282502
Fallout 4
>>382282502
Entire "Souls" series of games.
>>382282502
Nier: Automata kinda does after ending B
>>382282659
That's what make this game the best game ever
>>382282446
>celebrating manchildren who have 100 hours to put into a game before starting again to see everything
>good
pick one

It has, in no uncertain terms, unlimited depth.

post tits
>>382282728
only Dark Souls 2 does this, and it's still not completely new enemy placements and shit. All the new equipment was cool at least
>>382283118
An entire covenant in DS1 only worked in NG+. Gravekeeper invades didn't work in NG.
DS2 had NG+++ only gear or some shit, and NG+ only enemies.
Pretty sure DS3 has NG+ specific things as well. I forget, mostly because it was so easy.
>>382283305
That just sounds like plain old bonus content on NG+, not the "real version" of the game.
>>382283305
>DS3
Nope. Just rings. And the rings are worthless as they're overpowered by shit you find in the DLC.
>>382283305
Gravelords hardly ever worked even in NG+, I haven't been gravelorded once in ~1k hours of gamplay
DS2 had NG+ exclusive gear, souls and enemies and NG++ exclusive spells
DS3 just has rings with 2% benefits locked behind NG+ and NG++, gay shit
>>382282502
darks souls 2, it's the only souls game worth playing on NG+
>>382282563
how is that "being tricked"? People like a thing, and then they like a new thing, I don't see a trick there
