All that early-acces bullshit aside, is it just me being a pleb, or is this game really that good? I'm playing for a first time and have a currently ten-hours lasting blast.
>>382272178
Nah, it seems to me that most of /v/ approves of the game.
Yea it's pretty good.
>>382272178
From what I've seen the game it's actually good
>>382272332
Those dark deeps scare the fuck out of me though, mang. Double that, since I've heard that one big motherfucker who creeps around the other side of the Aurora. This shit is exploration and survival done well.
>>382272178
its great, and fucking terrifying, in a deeply unsettling but beautiful way
like the first time you find the floating islands, or realise just how deep the water goes...
It would probably be the best open world survival game by a long shot if it wasn't single player only.
>>382272178
It's great for quite a while, but sadly at some point you know the whole map and there's no mystery. Scouring the Dunes/Mountains for blue-prints is the only time you ever have to watch yourself and the rest is just going through the motions.
You have start giving yourself projects to keep busy.
>>382272932
>like the first time you find the floating islands, or realise just how deep the water goes...
Fug, this. Especially if you read the journals on the island first.
it woulda been fun if my pc doesn't sound like a yet plane when playing this game
>>382273548
get a decent heatsink, they are like 25 bucks
>>382272178
>want to play this because it seems they added a lot of shit recently
>don't want to start a new game for the 20th time
I fucking hate going to the aurora and fixing that fucking reactor.
It's a great game OP. Enjoy it while you can.
It's a lot different than what I initially thought of it, but it's actually better than what I thought it was going to be.
Had me shitting my pants from relatively harmless sea mantatee things, and then REALLY freaking out for shit like any deep area and the leviathans.
>>382273878
If your only issue is fixing the reactor itself you can just use console commands to fix it.
>>382273960
Mind telling me the command so I don't have to find the guide with them?
>>382272178
I got bored of the game. Then I started hating it with each update they introduced. Considering refunding when it's out of early access.
>>382274032
it's on the wiki, give me a second
>>382272178
Needs boat building and harpoon/spear fishing from them.
That's what you'd do if you were in that situation.
>tfw going below 200m for the first time
what is the best flowchart for progression?
where do you guys go when you first start a new new? what order do you do things in?
>>382274032
It's just "fixleaks", here's other shit if you need it.

You can make a 1-man sub and a knife.
I wish there was more Island stuff. I'd kill for a game like this where you were on a stranded island.
And no, stranded deep does not count.
When will it leave early-acces?
Things that annoy me after playing the game.>leviathan spawning like 30m from you>microstutter as sections of the map constantly are loading in>lack of content
I hope more games like this are made cause Subnautica was so fun otherwise.
>>382274285
Thanks, anon.
>>382274285
>You can make a 1-man sub and a knife.
I know, and I have it.
I just think you should be able to make small motor boats and fish from the surface.
It'd really add to the gameplay, so you've got more to do on the surface.
>>382274386
Sometime in August or September, I think.
>>382274506
Before I played the game I was expecting it to be a "research shit on an island" game, I think most of the art I saw was of the first precursor island.
I was a bit disappointed to find you can't (or at least, it's hard to) make an above-ground base.
>>382274510
Excellent, really excited to try it, but I have self-imposed a no early-acces game policy.
I keep hearing things outside my bedroom window. Must be my imagination.
>>382273916
top treasure ahead
>>382274705
Well if you care slime rancher is supposed to come out of early access around that time too, and I think that's really nice as well.
>>382274401
>>microstutter as sections of the map constantly are loading in
My stutters are like 5 seconds long
How is VR supposed to work in this game if its so unoptimized and has to load chunks constantly
>no weapons
>can't fight deep sea creatures in xbox huge robots
>just able to swim around and look at shit hoping not to get eaten
>>382275724
How insensitive dude. Don't you remember that time a guy killed 20 elementary schoolers with a harpoon gun?
>>382272178
It's pretty damn good. I'd be playing it more myself, but I decided to wait until they fully release the story, else I'll just catch up and be sitting there going, "Well now what?" until they update.
I sincerely hope they add in something like this just to mock the muh gunsfags.
>>382275724
>humans have the intelligence to build ships to visit other planets
>don't have the foresight to know some of the aliens might actually try to kill you
>>382275724
I've read somewhere that the developer is actually butthurt anti-gun fag. If I remember correctly, he actually said it somewhere that the game being nogunz is the result of his political feelings.
>>382272178
Subnautica has a weird, almost psychosomatic effect on me: whenever I play it I can almost smell seawater.
>>382276623
The thing that shoots down all the ships is called a G.U.N.
I think it's nogunz because having a gun would make you feel more empowered, and that's a big no-no in a (pseudo) survival horror game.
